Little Learners Ilford is a fantastic purpose-built nursery in Ilford town centre and is just a few minutes from local buses or trains. We provide a warm, caring and above all stimulating and happy environment for your children to enjoy. We are a culturally diverse nursery and many of our staff speak other languages including Albanian, French, Hindi and Tamil. This means your children will feel comfortable and included even if English is their second language or they have additional needs. Our bright and spacious rooms are well equipped with lots of exciting things for your children to do and play with, including lots of messy play, dressing up, role play, ICT and much more, to ensure that your children learn and have fun.

Our designated baby room is led by the children. Transition to nursery can be a tricky time, not only for children but also their parents and carers. We work closely with families to mirror your baby’s home routine, until they naturally fall in to the pattern of nursery life. There are lots of quiet, cosy corners for the children to rest and sleep, as well as fun activities always planned. We can visit you at home if you like, to strengthen the home/nursery bond.

The rainbow room is full of excitement, boasting not only a messy area, but also a climbing frame, cosy corners and sensory area. We realise how important diet is and whichever room your child is in you can rest assured that they will enjoy a full and varied menu that caters for all dietary needs. Staff will encourage your children to learn to use cutlery, sit at the table and enjoy a sociable and interactive time with their peers as they eat their meal.

Little Learners Ilford has two dedicated Pre-School rooms. This means your children can learn with in very small groups, with age appropriate focused activities. Our staff make sure that all seven areas of the Early Years Learning are explored through play-based activities. The rooms lead directly on to our outdoor garden which is spacious and exciting. The children enjoy a free flow between the inside and outside so they can choose what they would like to do, whether it’s climbing, planting, playing with the mud kitchen or scooting on bicycles in the garden, to role play, mark making, ICT, reading and much more inside. Our aims are to meet all of the children’s emotional, social and physical needs whilst promoting a foundation of independence and confidence that they will need when they start ‘big school’.

At Little Learners we believe in fresh food for our children. Our dedicated cook designs a four week rolling menu that changes according to the seasons and availability of produce. All of our food is nutritionally balanced and contains lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, in accordance with our Healthy Eating policy.

All dietary needs are catered for and we make mealtimes a fun and sociable occasion.
