Printing Activity

There are many simple ways to facilitate your child’s learning and development outside of nursery. The following printing activity is a fun and creative way to develop your child’s basic math skills by becoming familiar with shape and size. It also helps to improve the fine motor skills in younger children.

For this activity all you will need a few of the following objects: different shaped leaves, flowers, a large potato, empty toilet roll or a sponge.

  • Slice a potato in half and carve a simple shape into the flesh of the potato.
  • Now carve a different shape in to your sponge.
  • Fill a palette or disposable plate with poster paint
  • Dip your stamp in paint and press on a sheet of paper
